Prof. Damir Purković, University of Rijeka, Department of Polytechnics
“Conceptualization of Technology as a Curriculum Framework of Technology Education”
Damir Purković has worked as an assistant in the scientific area of social sciences/educational science at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka, Croatia, and as an associate for a methodical group of subjects at the Department of Polytechnics. Since 2009, he lectures in the area of engineering sciences, field of interdisciplinary engineering sciences. He earned a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Science, University of Split, in the interdisciplinary areas of science in the field of educational sciences. At the University of Rijeka, he was elected as assistant professor for the interdisciplinary fields of science. He is the author of many scientific and professional papers in the field of educational sciences, engineering and computer sciences. He is an author of several university publications and editor-in-chief of the Politechnica journal. As a lecturer and invited lecturer he participated in many international scientific conferences. He is external member of the Scientific Council for Education of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
Prof. Ivan Luković, University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences
“Formal Education in Data Science – A Perspective of Serbia”
Ivan Luković works as a Full Professor at Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad. His research interests are related to Database Systems and Software Engineering. He is the author or co-author of over 150 papers, 4 books, and 30 industry projects and software solutions in the area. Ivan Luković received his diploma degree (5 years) in Informatics from the Faculty of Military and Technical Sciences in Zagreb in 1990. He completed his Mr (2 year) degree at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 1993, and his Ph.D. at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences in 1996. Currently, he works as a Full Professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad, where he lectures in several Computer Science and Informatics courses.
Prof. Dragica Pavlović Babić, University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philosophy; President of Educational Research Association of Serbia; National Project Manager for the OECD/PISA
“New approaches in designing educational assessment instruments and its use in international (assessment) studies: What's new in PISA 2018?”
Dragica Pavlović Babić is a senior research associate at Institute of Psychology University of Belgrade and an associate professor at Faculty of Philosophy University of Belgrade. Her area of expertise is quality and equity in the field of education and assessment of academic achievement. She has more than 20 years of professional experience in education sector, including development of teacher and trainers training programmes, experience in developing low and by-low frame in the field of school assessment and development of the evidence based policy recommendations. Recently, she has been working, as a project coordinator, on development of Monitoring Framework for Inclusive Education, and on the comprehensive assessment of special education in Serbia. She is a consultant of UNICEF office in Belgrade. She has experience in working on EU, OECD and World Bank funded projects, in Serbia as well as in the region and broader. She is member of EERA Council, ISCAR, president of the Educational Research Association of Serbia, member of Serbian Psychologist Association and Council of Petnica Science Centre. Since 2001, she is National Project Manager for the OECD/PISA study.
