The collaboration between the University of Kragujevac and Beijing Jiaotong University reflects the iron friendship between Serbia and the People’s Republic of China. In that manner, Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak (University of Kragujevac, Serbia) and School of Computer and Information Technology (Beijing Jiaotong University, China) organized The first Student’s web conference. The conference held on 27 December 2022 was initiated by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Serbia. As the representatives of the two educational and scientific institutions, Dr. Vladimir Mladenović and Dr. Yi-Gang Cen hosted the event. The first secretary for science, technology, and innovation, Ms. Shi Yi, gave an introductory speech and officially announced the beginning of the conference. The dean of Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak, Prof. Dr. Danijela Milosevic, and the vice dean of School of Computer and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Yidong Li, addressed their colleagues and government officials. About 50 attendees followed the three Serbian and three Chinese students’ teams presenting their research work. The main goal was knowledge transfer and establishing connections between students. Web conference and presentations are the results of the strategic project Anomaly detection of video surveillance based on 5G EDGE computing conducted by Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak and Beijing Jiaotong University sponsored by the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China. The third secretary for science, technology, and innovation, Mr. Rui Li, summarized the event and expressed the importance of future academic and scientific collaboration between Serbian and Chinese students.
