The best female scientists of the University of Kragujevac
In the Ceremonial Hall of the University of Kragujevac, on February 12, 2024, the awards were presented to the best female scientists of the University of Kragujevac for their outstanding results in scientific research in 2023.
On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the University of Kragujevac this year, for the third time in a row, presented the awards to the best female scientists from 12 faculties of the University of Kragujevac and the Institute of Information Technologies Kragujevac. They achieved the most results in scientific research work in the previous year, 2023.
Dr Jelena Purenović, associate professor, was declared the best scientist of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak in the past year. Members of the management and the faculty team congratulated dr Jelena Purenović on this prestigious recognition, pointing out that they are proud of the scientific and research work of all colleagues and that their contribution in this field is extremely significant.
The rector of the University of Kragujevac, prof.dr Nenad Filipović, presented the awards to the best female scientists. He emphasized on this occasion that the position of women and their contribution to science is very important for the development of the University of Kragujevac and that this type of recognition is also an incentive to achieve significant scientific research results in the future.
