University of Belgrade (BG)
Faculty of Organizational
Sciences (FOS) is currently one of the most popular departments
of the University of Belgrade with students (700 new students enrol each academic
year). It has about
100 teaching staff. With high reputation in both teaching and research, FOS
has popular degree
programs in Information Systems and Technologies, Management Sciences, Industrial
Engineering,
and Quality Control and Assurance. FOS participates to several EU projects,
funded by different EU
agencies. It is strongly dedicated to development of practical software systems,
in addition to
R&Dactivities. It collaborates with industry all over Serbia and Montenegro.
FOS has conducted
pioneering work in Serbia in the area of e-Learning, and has educational ties
with other European
universities (joint curricula, student and teacher mobility). It also collaborates
with several other
universities from North America, Australia and New Zealand.
FOS will actively participate in creating core modules and syllabus, as well as elective and institution-specific curriculum subjects, development of teaching material for particular subjects and implementation of new curriculum.
University of Nis (NI)
Computer Science Department, Faculty of Electronic Engineering
Nis, employs around 30
persons of teaching staff of which all speak English and have high information
technology skills.
It has 4 Teaching laboratories with 60 PCs of contemporary quality, 3 Research
laboratories, one
specialized laboratory for tele-teaching, with T-Cube tele-teaching system.
This Department enrolls
around 100 students of Computing (Computer technic and Informatic) every year.
Starting from 2003,
the program of undergraduate studies is under reconstruction. Core courses
in this new syllabus consist
on all main subjects in computing. After the last reform of undergraduate curriculum,
tree master
programs: Software engineering, Computer engineering and Information technologies
are introduced.
They are in the process of implementation the new, Bologna compliant joint master studies in software engineering – as a result of the project CD-JEP 18035-2003 and thay are also getting their first experiences in e-learning and web-based training by establishing the E-learning Center at the level of the University.

University Mediterranean (PG)
University "Mediterranean" is the first private university in Montenegro. It comprises six faculties: Montenegro Tourism School, Bar; Montenegro Business School; Faculty of Information Technologies; Faculty of Visual Arts; Faculty for Foreign Languages, and Faculty of Law. The first faculty was founded in 2004. The founder of University "Mediterranean" is Atlas Group, a leading business corporation in Montenegro.
The Faculty of Information Technologies is a modern academic institution which has successfully been educating professionals for information technologies for three years. Its goal is to provide economy, national services and financial institutions with highly educated and competent personnel for the area of information technologies. The study programme is conceived on the models of leading European faculties for information science, using past experience in our country as well. Lectures, recitations and professional practice are conceived to support completion of highly educated personnel ready to meet high requests of world market. Syllabus and curriculum, as well as the complete study process, are synchronised with the principles of the Bologna Declaration.
The Faculty of Information Technologies has one study programme, Information technologies, with three courses: information systems, software engineering, and computer nets and telecommunications.
Graduate and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Information Technologies are natural succession of educational process, which relies on basic studies, designed to provide specialist knowledge for single areas of information technologies.
Syllabi and curricula for basic, specialists and master studies are coordinated with leading world faculties of information technologies, and top-range professors and lecturers are engaged to communicate their knowledge, in accordance with scheduled syllabus and curriculum. Moreover, lectures are coordinated with current needs of economy for professional IT personnel, so the students have possibility to acquire practical skills and diplomas of top-world companies that are verified all around the world.
